You Are My All

From Psalm119:73-80 and again in Psalm139 we see God has His hands in creation. Is there a common symbol that we can see in creation that points to Him? The answer is yes, there is a symbol that points to God and the work Jesus did on the cross.

Since both Psalms talk about how God created us, let’s look a little deeper into how He created us. Our bodies are “fearfully and wonderfully made;” (139:14). When you take an electron microscope to look at the cells of the body you find something interesting. It has three short arms and one long. It may not always look like a perfect cross but there in our body at the cellular level is a cross that holds all of our cells together.

From the electron microscope to the Hubble Telescope out in space, we come upon the black hole at the core of the Whirlpool Galaxy. This black hole is 100 light-years in diameter. Its mass is equivalent to one million of our Sun, in other words, you could put a million suns inside this black hole. In Psalm 139:8A says, “If I go up to the heavens, you are there;” Some thirty-one million light-years away is this amazing black hole that we can see due to the Hubble Telescope.

If you want something that you don’t need a telescope or a microscope for, all you have to do is check out the back of a donkey. On the back of the donkey is the cross. Think on this; Jesus, as He rode on the donkey as He entered Jerusalem for the last time, knowing what was ahead of Him, had to face the cross before Him as He sat on the donkey.

Even the New Testament backs these two Psalms in Colossians 1:17 NLT, “He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.”  When you need to know that He is there for you just look around at creation to know He is there for you.

It reminds me of the hymn “Oh lord, my God, when I, in awesome wonder, consider all the works thy hands have made …”.

It is true, his hands and works are all around us, a visual reminder that he is ALWAYS with us 🙂
